Edmunds.com and Lexus of Stevens Creek Team up this Weekend to Deliver a Unique Car Buying Experience

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — June 17, 2013 — Lexus of Stevens Creek, the largest volume luxury vehicle dealership in Northern California, will make automotive history this weekend by fixing the price of every new car on its lot to market values provided by Edmunds.com, America’s premier resource for car shopping and automotive information.

In this first-ever Edmunds.com Price Promisesm Takeover Event, every new car at the San Jose dealership will be priced at Edmunds.com’s True Market Value® (TMV®), which means that shoppers are guaranteed to pay no more than the average price paid for identical cars in Northern California. These no-haggle prices will be available to every shopper at Lexus of Stevens Creek from June 21st through June 23rd. Edmunds.com will also have a staff of experts on site throughout the weekend to answer shoppers’ questions and advise car buyers throughout the sales process.

“Never before have shoppers had the opportunity to buy a car in an environment with this much third-party validation,” says Lexus of Stevens Creek President and General Manager Brendan Harrington. “We think car shoppers will really appreciate this unique buying experience, and we expect that everyone involved will take away new ideas that can positively change the dealership experience.”

Edmunds.com’s Price Promisesm program is designed to give shoppers a convenient and reliable way to know exactly what price they'll pay at the dealership. According to a survey conducted by Edmunds.com, the biggest unmet need of car shoppers is getting an actual price for a car. Price Promise tackles this issue head-on by offering instant, locked-in prices on cars listed on Edmunds.com’s inventory pages by participating dealers.

“Through all of our current initiatives – including this ‘takeover’ event and the new Price Promise service now available on our Web site – Edmunds.com is determined to show car shoppers an easier car buying experience,” says Edmunds.com President Seth Berkowitz. “This weekend’s event will prove that more information and transparency are in the best interest of both car buyers and dealers.”

Lexus of Stevens Creek is located at 3333 Stevens Creek Blvd in San Jose, Calif. The showroom will be open this weekend from 9am to 9pm on Friday, 9am to 8pm on Saturday and 10am to 7pm on Sunday.

    2014 IS - REVEAL

IS to arrive in our Lexus of Stevens Creek showroom late Spring 2013.

First Images of the 2013 Lexus LS Leaked

Only days away from its official reveal, Chinese website XCAR has published photos of what looks to be the 2013 Lexus LS F SPORT:

If accurate, this new LS F SPORT features the most aggressive interpretation of the Lexus spindle grille yet, with a full chrome surround and even a blacked out front bumper. Add the super-tinted windows and hybrid LED headlights, and the Lexus flagship sedan looks downright hostile.

Here’s the LS from another angle:

Here we see an overall design similar to the existing LS, though with some added sharpness and plenty of inspiration from the 2013 GS — let’s put it side-by-side with the 2012 model for good measure:

Despite any resemblance, the exterior changes give the LS a different character — especially in this F SPORT trim.

Still, considering that highly polished images aren’t always the best representation of a vehicle, and we have yet to see the interior, I’m going to wait until the actual reveal in San Francisco next Monday before coming to any real conclusions.

    What are your initial impressions?
