The RC 300 AWD and RC 350 trims are equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drivetrain, or an eight-speed automatic transmission with a rear-wheel drivetrain, which pump out from 241 – 311 horsepower and 236 – 280 lbs.-ft. of torque.

All F SPORT models utilize an adaptive variable suspension, dynamic rear steering, variable gear-ratio steering, and limited-slip differential to foresee and deliver the best handling for any situation.

    REVIEW: 2017 Lexus RC

Silicon Valley Review 2017 Lexus RC

Great style and sporty performance don’t always go hand-in-hand with high safety ratings and conservative fuel economy, so in this way, the 2017 Lexus RC is an outlier – in the best way possible. Drivers in Silicon Valley who want a sporty coupe without compromise need look no further than the RC, whether they choose the 200t, 350, or F model. Here’s our full review of this deluxe coupe from Lexus:

Each model of the RC has standard automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, rearview camera, and a deluxe infotainment system that has a 7-inch display screen, 10 speakers, HD radio, dual USB ports, Bluetooth technology, and eyes-free smartphone integration. Additionally, it’s equipped with Lexus Enform Service Connect to ensure you never miss a routine service appointment.

There’s also available heated and ventilated front seats, navigation with touch-pad controller, upgraded Enform system, leather interior, heated steering wheel, and moonroof. You can also add a deluxe Mark Levinson audio system, driver assistance technologies, and performance features such as high-tuned suspension and Sport+ driving mode.

The RC is a muscular looking coupe, fit for passing the competition on the highway and leaving an impression without being a showoff. The spindle grille is unmistakably Lexus, while a low roofline and turned up rear are decidedly sporty and add to the performance. The interior has a creatively designed center console, a roadster-worthy steering wheel, and stylized, high-back seats to round out the RC’s athletic look. The F model comes with standard BBS aluminum wheels, carbon-fiber roof, and rear spoiler.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the 2017 RC a Top Safety Pick+. The coupe earned perfect scores in tests for small and moderate front overlap, side impact, rear crash, and roof strength.

In addition to standard safety features like airbags, anti-lock brakes, and daytime running lights, the RC is available with some of the most advanced safety features available. These include pre-collision warning, brake system with force distribution, dynamic radar cruise control, intuitive parking assistance, blind spot monitor, hill-start assist, and rain-sensing wipers.

You have the choice between four engine options on the RC. Note that the rear-wheel drive and F models have an 8-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive models are mated to 6-speed automatic transmission.

The base engine is a 3-liter turbocharged inline-4 with 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque; while you can also upgrade to a 3.5-liter V6 with all-wheel drive that makes 255 horses of power and 236 lb-ft of torque. The RC 350 has a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 306 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. If performance really matters to you, go with the F model, which has a 5-liter V8 engine with 467 horses of power and 389 lb-ft of torque.
