    Sneak Peak: 2019 ES

The Lexus ES is nothing new; in fact, the first ES250 arrived in 1989. Since 1989 there have been six generations of the Lexus ES with the seventh generation coming out in October. ES stands for Elegant Sedan and has indeed grown into that. When the vehicle first came out, it was intended to be Lexus’ version of the Toyota Camry.

Long gone are those days of mundane vehicle design. Today the Lexus ES that we have available to us is a dynamic, powerful, and head-turning vehicle that gives consumers much to look forward to come October.

Read on to learn what’s new in the 2019 Lexus ES.

    Performance

The 2019 Lexus ES will take you from 0 to 60 in just 6.6 seconds. The previous six-speed transmission has been replaced with a new eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the ES to accelerate even faster. We have come to expect quiet comfort with Lexus, but the new 2019 ES might be to most tranquil interior we’ve seen yet.

You also still have the option for a gasoline-electric hybrid, which was released with the previous generation and labeled ES300H. In the 2019 hybrid model, you’ll get a little more horsepower than the 2018 model and will top out at 215-hp. What’s truly impressive about the hybrid model is the fuel economy. The new 2019 ES has improvements of 4 mpg on the city and combined features and a 6-mpg improvement on the highway. These improvements bring the 2019 ES in at an impressive 44 mpg city, 45 highway, and 44 combined.

And, new in 2019, drivers will have the option to opt for a sportier ES – the F Sport. This new model is the first model in ES history that can be classified as a sport sedan, and it does not disappoint.

    Comfort & Convenience

Lexus did not cut any corner with the design of the 2019 ES. They use superior materials, elegant design, and top of the line technology. Standard features on the new ES include onboard Wi-Fi, a premium audio system, Apple CarPlay compatibility, Siri Eyes Free and Amazon Alexa integration, an optional head-up display, an easy to read TFT instrument cluster, and an 8-inch touchpad-controlled central infotainment screen located atop the dash and the option to upgrade to a 12.3-inch screen.

And, of course, Lexus provides drivers with a slew of safety features that all come standard.
