    Review: 2019 Lexus ES 300h

The 2019 Lexus ES 300h delivers an energetic and efficient powertrain, a first-class cabin with comfortable seating for both rows of passengers, and advanced entertainment and safety technology. Eco-conscious drivers in the San Jose area should visit Lexus Stevens Creek to learn more about this elegant midsize hybrid sedan.

    Performance

The ES 300h employs a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder direct- and port fuel-injected engine mated to a continuously variable transmission teamed with two electric motors. This front-wheel-drive hybrid sedan generates 215 total system horsepower, earns an estimated 44 mpg combined, and has a driving range of 581 miles while exploring the beautiful state of California. The use of a regenerative braking system helps recharge the battery pack. Drive Mode Select is standard and allows you to customize your drive with Normal, Sport, and ECO modes, as well as EV mode for battery-only power.

    New Features

Completely redesigned for 2019, this five-passenger hybrid luxury sedan offers more rear-seat room than the previous model, resulting in class-leading legroom. In addition, Lexus incorporated its new Hybrid-Acoustics sound-dampening technology to create one of the quietest cabins in the class. Another revision includes moving the 1.6-kWh nickel-metal hydride battery pack from the trunk to under the seat, providing the same amount of trunk space as the non-hybrid ES 300.

    Technology and Convenience

The standard Lexus multimedia system works with an 8.0-inch color infotainment display, Siri® Eyes Free, Apple CarPlay® and Amazon Alexa integration, Bluetooth® with voice command, SiriusXM® satellite radio, HD Radio™, Scout® GPS Link for real-time traffic, and a ten-speaker Pioneer audio sound system. Additionally, a Wi-Fi hotspot, SmartAccess keyfob, and Lexus Enform Safety Connect roadside assistance, Service Connect vehicle information, Remote access, and Destination Assist are included. Optional features consist of a 12.3-inch color high-resolution split-screen multimedia display, a dynamic navigation system with 3D city views, a wireless charger, and a seventeen-speaker, 1,800-watt Mark Levinson® PurePlay premium surround sound system.
