    Review: 2019 Lexus ES 300h

Visit Lexus Stevens Creek in the Santa Clara area to learn more about the new Lexus ES 300 hybrid model. This five-passenger hybrid luxury sedan is the most fuel-efficient non-plug-in luxury vehicle which delivers a first-class ride, ample legroom in both rows, and an impressive suite of safety features.

    Performance

The Lexus ES 300 hybrid model is available in a 300h base model as well as the 300h Luxury and 300h Ultra Luxury trims which are powered by a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine mated to an electronic continuously variable transmission paired with two electric motors. This Lexus hybrid model utilizes a front-wheel drivetrain and generates 175-hp with the engine alone and a total system of 215-hp, and earns an estimated fuel economy of 45 mpg highway and 43 mpg city. To make the drive more responsive or more efficient, the ES 300h comes standard with four separate driving modes including Normal, ECO, EV, and Sport mode which initiates six simulated gears that can be shifted manually with the paddle shifters.

    Comfort and Convenience

The new aerodynamic design helps reduce noise and vibration and the Lexus-first hybrid-acoustics with sound-dampening measures provides the quietest drive possible. You’ll be comfortable in the standard synthetic leather seats with 10-way power-adjustable front seats or the available semi-aniline leather-trimmed seats including 14-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with cushion extender. Optional are heated and ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The standard Lexus Enform system provides Safety Connect roadside assistance, Service Connect vehicle information, Enform Remote to start your engine and lock your doors remotely, Destination Assist with a 24-hour live response center, and App Suite 2.0 for access to your favorite mobile applications. Available options include navigation with 3D city views, power trunk with kick sensor, panoramic sunroof, and a 10.2-inch full-color head-up display.

    Safety

The Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 integrated suite of standard active safety equipment includes lane departure alert with steering assist, road sign assist, pre-collision with pedestrian detection, lane tracing assist, all-speed dynamic radar cruise control, and intelligent high beams. Vehicle stability control, traction control, smart stop technology, whiplash injury lessening front seatbacks, a backup camera, and a 10-airbag system come standard. Available are blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, intuitive parking assist with auto braking, and a panoramic view monitor.
