    Comparison: 2018 Lexus LX vs 2018 Cadillac Escalade

    If you need a full-size SUV that can seat up to eight passengers, and provide a luxurious comfortable ride for all passengers check out below what we have to say about the 2018 Lexus LX. This monster of an SUV has everything you should ever need in a family vehicle.

    Performance

    Lexus LX

    The 2018 LX is equipped with a 5.7-liter V8 engine that makes 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft of torque. It tows up to 7,000 pounds and comes standard with an integrated towing hitch receiver.

    Cadillac Escalade

    The 2018 Escalade comes with a 6.2-liter V8 truck engine that generates 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft and has the capability to tow up to 8,300 pounds. The V8 engine also comes with a smart cylinder deactivation feature that shuts off four cylinders while cruising.

    Comfort and Convenience

    Lexus LX

    The 2018 LX has seating for five to eight passengers, depending on the seating configuration you choose, and 15.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. With all seats folded, it features 83.1 cubes of cargo volume.

    The Lexus comes standard equipped with a power moonroof, power rear door, leather interior trim, the Lexus Memory System for seating, a power-sliding second row, four-zone automatic climate control, nine-speaker audio, SmartAccess key system, and auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors. Additionally, it features the Lexus Safety System+, a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Panoramic View Monitor, Intuitive Parking Assist, and a Navigation System with a 12.3-inch display.

    Options include semi-aniline leather interior, heated and ventilated seating, Color Heads-Up Display, Qi-compatible wireless charging, a Cool Box, and a heated wood and leather steering wheel. For the ultimate family vehicle, you can also opt for a Rear-Seat Entertainment System with dual 11.6-inch displays and the Mark Levinson Surround Sound Audio System with 19 speakers.

    Cadillac Escalade

    Cadillac offers the Escalade in four trims. The base model gets a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an automatic parking system, a surround-view camera system, Magnetic Ride Control, LED headlights, a power liftgate, and a 16-speaker Bose audio system. The seats are leather and the front chairs feature 12-way adjustability and three-stage heating, while drivers grasp a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel.

    The Escalade Luxury takes all that and adds 22-inch wheels, a suite of active safety systems that has just about everything but adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, and a full anti-theft suite. The Escalade Premium Luxury adds adaptive cruise control and automatic rear braking to the safety suite, along with LED cornering lights and a rear-seat entertainment system with a single 9.0-inch screen and a Blu-ray DVD player.

    Finally, the Escalade Platinum adds upgraded semi-aniline leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped dash, a suede headliner, 18-way front seat adjustability with massage and cooling functions for driver and passenger, a cooler function for the center console, 22-inch wheels, a grille with even more chrome, power side steps, and twin 7.0-inch displays in the back of the front headrests, rather than the Premium Luxury’s single-screen setup.
