The new LC 500 is built on an all-new rear-wheel drive GA-L platform, the first of many to come for Lexus. Its design optimizes mass and weight distribution to give the LC a low center of gravity and minimal shifting, while making room for newly designed multi-link suspension.

The 2018 LC 500 is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine, mated to a 10-speed electronically controlled direct-shift automatic transmission. The powertrain makes 471 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, and goes from zero to 60 in 4.4 seconds. The LC also comes as a hybrid variant, the LC 500h.

    Styling and Tech

The 2018 LC comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+, Lexus Enform Apps, Navigation with 10.3-inch LCD screen, Remote Touchpad controls, Drive Mode Select with Sport+ mode, and a 12-speaker audio system. It’s also available with a Mark Levinson premium sound system, Heads-Up Display, Intuitive Parking Assist, and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

Comfort and convenience features include heated and ventilated front seats, voice command, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers, a glass roof with sunshade, and leather or semi-aniline leather seating. The Performance Package adds an Alcantara headliner and carbon-fiber door scuff plates, as well as Active Rear Steering, an active rear wing, and Variable Gear-Ration Steering.
