    Review: 2019 Lexus RX 350

    The 2019 Lexus RX 350 is the top-selling midsize luxury crossover SUV, and it’s easy to see why.     For 2019, the Lexus RX 350 is available in two powertrain options. Both are V6 engines, but one is paired with a battery for a hybrid setup. Available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the standard RX 350 is running on a 3.5-liter V6 paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain makes 295 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque.

    The RX 450h is the hybrid model of this vehicle, and it utilizes a similar V6 engine paired with batteries. Two electric motors by the rear wheels give all models of the hybrid RX all-wheel-drive capability. This engine set up is paired up with a continuously variable transmission, powering the RX 450h with 259 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque.

    The standard RX 350 with front-wheel drive gets an EPA estimated 20 MPG city, 27 MPG highway, and 23 MPG combined. The standard model of the 2019 RX 350 with all-wheel drive achieves 19 MPG city, 26 MPG highway, and 22 MPG combined as estimated by the EPA. The Hybrid model of the RX is EPA rated at 31 MPG city, 28 MPG highway, and 30 MPG combined.

    Features & Technology

    The 2019 RX 350 comes with standard features including synthetic leather upholstery, LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment. Getting into the Premium package gives the RX additional features including wood trim, roof rails, and real leather. The Luxury Package fits out your RX 350 with top of the line luxury features including heated and ventilated front seats, upgraded leather upholstery, and 20-inch wheels. With the Luxury package, you are also able to add a sizeable 12.3-inch touchscreen and a rear entertainment display system that can run two videos at once.


    The 2019 Lexus RX 350 comes with standard active safety features that include a rearview camera, automatic high beams, forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, active lane control, and adaptive cruise control. There are additional options available to be added to your RX 350 like blind-spot monitors and a surround-view camera system.
