    Relay for Life Cambrian 2017

Walking to end cancer! This year's Cambrian Relay for Life was held on April 28-29th at Dartmouth Middle School in San Jose. Hundreds walked during the 24-hour relay event... some even walked in the middle of the night! As a team, Lexus of Stevens Creek Cares raised over $1,000! We even had one of our 2017 RX 350s wrapped especially for the occasion. 66 teams and 594 participants raised a total of $202,360 for the American Cancer Society.

Lexus of Stevens Creek hosted the Penske Pit Stop booth where relay participants and volunteers were invited to Relax & Rejuvenate! There was coffee donated by Panera Bread a swell as water donated by Zanotto's. We also sold hand warmers throughout the chilly night, and handed out racing flags and glowsticks. All proceeds went to the American Cancer Society.

The Relay for Life event kicked off Friday night at 6pm with the Opening Ceremony. It was a time to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, to inspire hope by sharing recent accomplishments and progress, and to remind everyone that while we are winning this battle, fighting cancer is a year-round priority. During the relay, there was also a Survivors Lap, Caregivers Lap, Luminaria Ceremony and more.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the world's largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer. It unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and take action to finish the fight once and for all. With the support of thousands of volunteers, the American Cancer Society is helping save more than 400 lives a day and they will not stop until they finish the fight against cancer!

This year Lexus of Stevens Creek plans to keep giving back to American Cancer Society and Relay for Life, far beyond the 24 hour walk. As a part of our team cause this year, we informed all who walked about the Road to Recovery program of the American Cancer Society.  In this program, volunteer drivers donate their time and use their cars so that patients can receive the life-saving treatments they need. This year, with our ‘swagged’ out Relay for Life RX 350, Lexus of Stevens Creek will be registering to participate in the Road to Recovery Program and provide rides to local cancer patients.

THANK YOU TO THE LEXUS OF STEVENS CREEK CARES TEAM!
