Review: 2018 Lexus ES 350

Comfort and Convenience

All models of the 2018 Lexus ES come standard with SmartAccess with push-button Start/Stop, a power moonroof, voice command, backup camera, dual-zone climate control with air filters and smog sensor, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The Lexus sedan has perforated NuLuxe interior trim and 10-way power-adjustable front seats. Leather seating, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel, a panorama glass roof, and power trunk can be added as individual options.

For an even more luxe cabin, you can add the Luxury Package, Ultra Luxury Package, or Premier Package to the ES 350. Safety and Tech

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2017 Lexus ES a best-possible 5-Star Overall Rating.

Safety comes first and foremost for Lexus, so each model of the 2018 ES comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+. This includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and intelligent high-beam headlights. Additionally, all models have a LED daytime running lights, headlamps, and tail lamps, as well as Vehicle Stability Control. Intuitive Parking Assist, a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and twin projector Bi-LED headlamps are also available as individual options.

Silicon Valley commuters will love the Lexus Display Audio with 8-inch touchscreen display and Scout GPS Link navigation with MapStream and TurnStream. Also, the ES is standard with an 8-speaker Premium Sound System, HD Radio with iTunes tagging, and Bluetooth and USB connectivity. You can also opt for upgraded navigation or a 15-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound Audio System via the Navigation/Mark Levinson Audio Package.

Performance and Fuel Economy

The 2018 Lexus ES 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. The front-wheel-drive sedan has an electronically controlled 6-speed automatic transmission, and goes from zero to 60 in 7.1 seconds.
