    Performance

Sometimes, you need an escape from Silicon Valley. During such times, it’s nice to have an SUV that can handle anything, whether you want to go camping off the beaten path or haul a boat or water sport equipment to the coast.

The 2018 GX 460 is equipped with a 4.6-liter V8 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, with standard full-time four-wheel drive with Active Traction Control. The powertrain makes 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque, and has a fuel economy of up to 18 MPG highway. It features standard Trailer Sway Control and can tow up to 6,500 pounds.

To ensure a smooth, controlled ride on any terrain, the GX also has a Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, Adaptive Variable Suspension, Crawl Control, Downhill Assist Control, and Hill-Start Assist. Its TORSEN Torque-Sensing Limited-Slip Center Differential also helps you maintain control by distributing optimal power between the front and rear axles.

    Comfort and Convenience

The 2018 GX 460 comes standard with black or sepia NuLuxe interior trim, with the option for black, sepia, or ecru leather seating. It seats up to seven passengers and has three rows of seating, with a 40/20/40 split reclining and sliding middle row and fold-flat third-row seats. A power moonroof, privacy glass, and dual-zone automatic climate control round out the luxury feel of the GX’s quiet cabin.

The GX 460 is also equipped standard with Lexus Display Audio with color display and 9 speakers, subscription-free traffic and weather, a backup camera, Voice Command, Bluetooth wireless tech, Siri Eyes Free, USB input, and Lexus Enform Safety Connect and Service Connect telematics system for one year.

Available interior features include heated and ventilated front seats, second-row captain’s chairs, wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, cargo-area tonneau cover, and a Dual-screen DVD Rear-Seat Entertainment System. The Lexus Navigation System and Enform App Suite and Destination Assist, high-res LCD screen, and a Mark Levinson 17-speaker Surround Sound Audio System are also available via the Navigation Package and Mark Levinson Audio Package.

    Safety and Tech

All models of the 2018 GX feature a backup camera and come available with a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Intuitive Parking Assist. The Driver Support Package adds a Pre-Collision System with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Driver Attention Monitor, Lane Departure Alert, intelligent high-beam headlamps, and Wide-view Front and Side Monitor System.
